The United States Gymnastics Federation National Championships were held at the University of Iowa.
Hawkeyes Glenn Gailis... and George Hery took top honors, but
do notice the group standing at the winner's podium for trampoline...
we have a gathering of future "greats" in trampoline history!

One of the benefits of working at the Nissen Corporation was having access to the big showroom gymnasium in order to bounce, workout and let off a little steam.
With Spaceball units being shipped all across the country (and the world), the Nissen employees decided to have some fun - - and organized a company-wide Spaceball tournament!
A 'spaceball jump center' opened in Cedar Rapids, and Citizen Times reporter Warren Boldt, got the lucky assignment to bounce...and write the article!
