1964 (December) A Year of Trampoline Champions & the Nissen News

1964 certainly was a busy year for George Nissen, the employees at the Nissen Corporation,
and for trampoline athletes around the world.

At Nissen's, sales representative covered the country from coast to coast. Last years sales records were broken and a permanent night shift in the machine shop was added.

Trampoline saw many firsts; as in new skills, new venues and several world competitions.

No wonder everyone's attention turned to celebrating Thanksgiving, and then...
on to planning next month's annual employee Christmas party! 
This page gives us a chance to see the factory folks whose hard work and attention to detail, produced Nissen trampolines, parallel bars, high bars, tumbling mats and more!

1964 was a successful year for trampoline competitions as well!
During the past year we saw many firsts; as in new skills, new venues and several world competitions.

~Judy Wills and Dan Millman took honors at the 1st World Open Trampoline Championships.
~Wayne Miller, U.S. National Champion performed "The Miller,"  
a triple twisting double somersault.
~ Frank Schmitz, East/West Trampoline Champion (Tucson Clinic) successfully performed
 two triple back somersaults in swing time!
